About Me

I started Lewisham Gardens because there is a lot of garden related activity going this summer and there was no central place to find out about all of it.

During my research for the site I discovered a phenomenal amount of volunteer gardening going on in the borough. There are now over 60 community gardens - beautifying neglected spaces and bringing together people who otherwise may not have met.

Simply put Lewisham Gardens is here to:

  • promote better communication with other gardeners!

After all, who else is going to care that you've successfully made compost tea for the first time?

So put your trowel down  and make yourself at home! :)

We normally have our "Community Day" on the second Saturday of the month but this May (12th) we shall be at Phoenix Day in Forster Park as they own our land! There is usually someone in the garden most Saturdays from noon onwards during the growing season. Best to check with our Chairlady, Ann Palmer, at [email protected]
