" During this two-day Introduction to Permaculture Design we will explore what Permaculture really is and discover its origins and ethical foundations. In a playful and participatory way we will explore Permaculture principles and design which we can apply in our gardens, our jobs and personal life. Permaculture Design allows to work with, rather than against nature to create resilient communities and sustainable ecosystems.

We will explore how Permaculture enables us to create low-maintenance edible gardens that benefit the environment as well as the people and community."

Sydenham: Grow Mayow urgently need help to move their plants.

Sydenham: The wondrous Grow Mayow community garden is about to undergo major and destructive earth-moving engineering works. And right now it is all hands on deck to help them save the plants. A major pipe running through the garden is being replaced and 80% of the garden will be dug up and destroyed.

The onsite team of volunteers have already begun packing away plants, including emptying the poly tunnels- but theu simply need more people to move the plants to ensure their survival.

So if you have time next Sunday do pop into Grow Mayow and help them protect their legacy. Over the years Iris Borgers and the volunteer team have created a series of magical spaces for local people and groups to enjoy- please lets help save as much as we can.
