There has been a St Mary's Church in the centre of Lewisham for a thousand years. Most of the current building dates back to the 18 century, though the tower is even older.
Here is your chance for this generation to make its mark on the ancient and historic churchyard.
The footpath from Ladywell Road to Lewisham High Street cuts through what was the 'Churchyard Meadow' which is made up of lawns and mature trees. The team at the Church are inviting the local community to bring along a shrub or climber fro their own gardens to plant along the perimeter of the churchyard.
Dates of the event are still to be arranged.
